About the Group Surf Lesson
Most surf schools call anything with two or more students a group lesson. We are stricter. Our maximum is 4 students per instructor, because beyond that the coaching quality drops and instructors spend more time managing logistics than teaching surfing. You came for a lesson, not to stand in a queue.
A small group is one of the best ways to learn. There is energy and encouragement from the people around you, and the shared excitement of everyone catching their first wave together is genuinely contagious. We keep groups tight so you still get hands-on, individual coaching throughout.
For families, the group lesson is perfect. Parents and children learning side by side removes the hesitation many kids feel about doing an activity without their parents, and seeing your child stand up on a wave for the first time is unforgettable. Mixed levels are welcome - we adapt to every student in the group.
